About me
I am a third year student currently studying Architectural technology at Southampton Solent University. I first got into architecture when I was young but also loved learning how and why things work. This eventually lead me to find architectural technology an enjoyable subject to study.
Outside of work I enjoy learning about new technologies and ways of designing and building houses, often in the form of expo's and my own research.
Some of my other passions include making and breaking things, travelling, driving and Japanese culture. I also happen to be an avid car fan and I am currently saving up for a project car.
My educational Background
I studied Architectural technology at Southampton Solent University, Finishing my course with a 2nd class with honours. I first got into architecture when I was young but also loved learning how and why things work. This eventually lead me to find architectural technology an enjoyable subject to study.
After University I started working for a property developer in Surrey as a Architectural Technician. My main role was drawing and editing in-house plans whilst also assisting with on-site visits and applying for building warranties. After 18 months I was unfortunately made redundant. After my redundancy I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay in the construction industry or look at other options in both education and career terms.
I ultimately decided to look at further education and found an MA in Game Art at Escape Studios which I was eligible for due to my prior education. whilst at Escape Studios, I found myself enjoying the more technical side of game art and in particular texturing using Substance Suite.
